ITCC Objectives

  • to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Irish Terriers and do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed through selective breeding, exhibition and education;

  • to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as adopted by the Irish Terrier Club of America and as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which Irish Terriers shall be judged;

  • to, as an affiliated regional club of the Irish Terrier Club of America, conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows and obedience shows under the rules of the American Kennel Club; and

  • to encourage sportmanship and good fellowship at all Club events.

The Irish Terrier Club of Chicago is open to all adults who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purpose of this Club.  While membership is to be unrestricted as to residence, the Club’s primary purpose is to be representative of the breeders, exhibitors, and Irish Terrier owners in its immediate area.
